Investor Charter
Issued in respect of Research Analysts, as mandated by SEBI, to bring your rights, my obligations, and the grievance process together in one place.
A. Vision and mission
Vision
To bring clarity where there is noise. A market moves on fear and hope, rumour and rush; my vision is research that helps an investor see a little further and stand a little steadier — informed by discipline, guided by evidence, and held together by honesty.
Mission
To serve, not to sway. My mission is simple: study the markets with care, share what I find without bias, and treat every investor's trust as something to protect, not to use. Growth, for me, begins with truth plainly told.
B. Business transacted with investors
- Publish research reports based on my own research activity.
- Provide an independent, unbiased view on securities.
- Offer unbiased recommendations, disclosing any financial interest in the securities recommended.
- Base research recommendations on analysis of publicly available information and known observations.
- Conduct an annual compliance audit.
- Ensure all advertisements adhere to the Advertisement Code for Research Analysts.
- Maintain records of interactions with all clients — including prospective clients prior to onboarding — wherever the conversation relates to research services.
C. Services provided to investors
Onboarding of clients
- Sharing the terms and conditions of research services.
- Completing KYC for fee-paying clients.
Disclosure to clients
- Disclose material information needed for an informed decision — business activity, disciplinary history, terms and conditions, details of associates, and any risks or conflicts of interest.
- Disclose the extent of use of Artificial Intelligence tools in providing research services.
- When distributing a third-party research report, disclose any material conflict of interest of that provider, or point to where the relevant disclosures are published.
- Disclose any conflict between research services and my other activities, if any.
- Distribute research reports and recommendations to clients without discrimination.
- Maintain confidentiality of a research report until it is made available in the public domain.
- Respect the data-privacy rights of clients and take measures against unauthorised use of confidential information.
- Disclose service timelines and adhere to them.
- Provide clear guidance and adequate caution when recommending complex or high-risk financial products or services.
- Treat all clients with honesty and integrity.
- Keep client information confidential, except where legally required or specifically consented to.
D. Grievance redressal mechanism and how to access it
Filing a complaint with the Research Analyst
In case of any grievance or complaint, you may approach me directly. I will strive to redress the grievance immediately, and in any case not later than 21 days from receipt.
Filing a complaint on SCORES or with the Research Analyst Administration and Supervisory Body (RAASB)
SCORES 2.0 is SEBI's centralised, web-based grievance redressal system for time-bound resolution: scores.sebi.gov.in (opens in a new tab). A complaint against a Research Analyst on SCORES receives a two-level review: first by the designated RAASB (BSE Limited), then by SEBI. You may also email the designated RAASB email ID.
SMART ODR
If you remain unsatisfied with the resolution provided, you may take the complaint to the SMART ODR platform for resolution through online conciliation or arbitration: smartodr.in (opens in a new tab).
Physical complaints
Office of Investor Assistance and Education, Securities and Exchange Board of India, SEBI Bhavan, Plot No. C4-A, 'G' Block, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra (E), Mumbai – 400 051.

F. Expectations from investors
Do's
- Always deal with a SEBI registered Research Analyst, and confirm the registration is valid.
- Check the SEBI registration number against the official list of registered Research Analysts on the SEBI website (opens in a new tab).
- Pay attention to the disclosures made in research reports before investing.
- Pay your Research Analyst only through banking channels, and keep duly signed receipts. Fee-paying clients may also use the Centralized Fee Collection Mechanism (CeFCoM) of RAASB, where the Research Analyst has opted in.
- Before buying, selling, or applying in a public offer, check the relevant research recommendation.
- Ask questions and clear doubts with your Research Analyst before acting on a recommendation, especially for complex or high-risk products.
- Know that you may stop availing a Research Analyst's services as per the agreed terms, and that you are entitled to give feedback on the service received.
- Know that no clause imposed by a Research Analyst can override applicable regulatory provisions.
- Inform SEBI if a Research Analyst offers assured or guaranteed returns.
Don'ts
- Do not hand over funds for investment to the Research Analyst.
- Do not fall for enticing advertisements or market rumours.
- Do not be swayed by limited-period discounts, incentives, or gifts offered by a Research Analyst.
- Do not share the login credentials or passwords of your trading, demat, or bank accounts with the Research Analyst.
